So many people are delighted that today is finally the 1st of February. The 1st of February is recognised as the beginning of spring and people all over the world celebrate St Brigid's feast day. St Brigid is considered as one of the Irish Saints and people often make crosses out of rushes to mark her day.
Thankfully some of the old Irish traditions are still alive in Belleek as children still make crosses to celebrate her day.
